Our Beliefs

Statement of Faith

HOC LOGO 2026.png

We share these core values to provide clarity and transparency for all who seek to grow with us as a family of both Jewish and Gentile believers. Whether you are well-versed in Messianic Judaism or just beginning to explore your Hebraic roots, we welcome you to discover the foundations that anchor our congregation in Central Oregon.

I. Authority of Scripture
We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Tanakh (Holy Scriptures) and the later writings commonly known as the B'rit Hadashah (Renewed Covenant), is the only infallible and authoritative word of God. We recognize its divine inspiration and accept its teachings as our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

II. God
We believe the Shema, "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one," teaches that God is echad: a united One, a composite unity, eternally existent in plural oneness. We believe that He is a personal God who created us, and that He exists forever in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

A. God the Father (Abba)

B. God the Son (HaBen)
We believe the Son, called Yeshua (Jesus), meaning salvation, came to this world born of a virgin. He is the promised Mashiach of Israel. He is our Passover, the Lamb of God.

C. God the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh)
We believe that the Spirit of God came upon individuals for specific purposes. Yeshua promised the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, who guides us into all truth and empowers us to live godly lives.

III. Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell through disobedience. Man's only hope for redemption is through the atonement made by the Messiah.

IV. Resurrection and Judgment
We believe in the resurrection of both the redeemed and the lost. We believe in the two comings of the Messiah: to make atonement and to return as King.

V. Israel in Prophecy
We believe in God's end-time plan for Israel, including physical and spiritual restoration.

VI. Messianic Judaism
We believe that Jewish people who trust in Yeshua continue to be Jewish. Gentiles are grafted in. We celebrate the Jewish Holy Days fulfilled in Messiah.
